The 2019 Maison Enfant Soleil signée Bonneville Project Launch

17 January 2019

Belœil, January 17, 2019 – Opération Enfant Soleil is proud to continue its association with Bonneville Homes for a fifth consecutive year to create the 2019 Maison Enfant Soleil signée Bonneville. Unveiled this morning, this unique model was specially designed for Opération Enfant Soleil and can be viewed starting in February at the Expo Habitat Québec and then in March at the Montreal National Home Show, as well as at Bonneville Homes from April to July 2019. The winner will receive a grand prize valued at $500 000 including a fully decorated and furnished house as well as funds to purchase land in the city of their choice or $325 000 in cash. All participants will also have the chance to win one of 33 secondary prizes in the form of gift cards from our valued partners.

This project was made possible by the generosity and support of our partners, including IKEA, the official decorator and furniture supplier, Lowe’s Canada, the official materials supplier, and TD, the primary provider of the funds for purchasing land. Tickets are $10 and will be available across our whole network in the month of April, including RE/MAX, Familiprix, Couche-Tard, RONA, Réno-Dépôt, and Opto-Réseau. You can also buy tickets online at www.operationenfantsoleil.ca starting January 21.

Opération Enfant Soleil spokesperson Alain Dumas took advantage of the occasion to present his collaborator, Enfant Soleil Alexis. Alexis was just ten months old when he had his first seizure. Several seizures followed, but it was only three years later that doctors were able to provide an exact diagnosis: the little boy was suffering from Dravet syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy. In the past five years, Alexis has been hospitalized many times and the list of medications he has tried continues to grow. The whole family faces these trials together, one day at a time. The little boy’s resilience makes his parents more than proud.

Mr. Dany Bonneville, Co-President of Bonneville Homes, is very proud to see the family business continue its philanthropic mission. He was thrilled to unveil the image of this beautiful home. To continue the tradition started by Bonneville Homes founder Mr. Paul-Émile Bonneville, who named new home models after his children and grandchildren, the 2019 Maison Enfant Soleil signée Bonneville will be named Alexis in honour of the project’s Enfant Soleil ambassador.

Last year, more than 2 million dollars was raised by draw ticket sales. Since its first edition, Maison Enfant Soleil draws have raised more than 24 million dollars. The draw will take place on July 18 live on Salut Bonjour on the TVA network.
