The 29th Opération Enfant Soleil Telethon

telethon 2016

On June 4th and 5th will take place the 29th edition of the biggest Quebecer gathering demonstrating our solidarity with sick children and their families. The Opération Enfant Soleil Telethon, aired on the TVA network, will especially highlight the courage of the 20 Enfant Soleil children originating from each of the province’s regions. Accompanied by their family, they will be at the heart of the action and emotions, live from the Enfant Soleil lounge.

The main presenters, Annie Brocoli and Maxime Landry, will be surrounded by Étienne Boulay, Jean-François Breau, Jérôme Couture, Isabelle Cyr, Alain Dumas, Anick Dumontet, Philippe Fehmiu, Mélanie Gagné, Louis-Georges Girard, Josée Lavigueur, Alex Perron, Claudine Prévost and Annie-Soleil Proteau.

Many artists will take to the stage to put their talent to work for the good of the cause, notably: Kevin Bazinet, Philippe Brach, Jean-François Breau, Jean-Pierre Ferland, Marc Hervieux, Marie-Ève Janvier, Koriass, Maxime Landry, Ariane Moffatt, Nadja, Stéphanie St-Jean and Marie-Élaine Thibert.

The Telethon’s nighttime will once again be very festive. Starting at midnight, the public is invited to come and boogie down to the sound of the Boogie Wonder Band. Starting at 2 AM, the Jeunes Espoirs Competition, mentored by Jérôme Couture, will showcase new talents. The Riverin sisters, the contest’s judges, will have to choose the winners in three categories: Singer – 12 to 15 years old; Singer – 16 to 21 years old; and Singer-Songwriter. Sunday morning, the younger children are invited to enjoy performances from different artists, notably: Arthur L’aventurier, les Petites Tounes, as well as Véronique Claveau and Bryan Audet that will offer a medley of Snowtime.

The public is invited to turn out in large numbers. Admission is free, and an inflatable park will also be accessible on the site.

Live from ExpoCité’s Pavillon de la jeunesse in Quebec City, you can also follow the Telethon on Facebook and Twitter during the whole 25-hour event.

On behalf of sick children in Quebec, Opération Enfant Soleil wishes to thank its faithful media partners over the years: TVA, Journal de Québec, Journal de Montréal as well as the Rythme FM network.
